With over 10 years experience in surf photography, Russell Ord enjoys an international reputation built on an enthusiasm for surfing. The Sitting Room Gallery provides a chance for Russell to combine two interests, surfing and photography, and create as space to support and promote other Australian surf photographers. His affable and modest demeanour masks a remarkable talent and an inherent ability to translate the natural environment into his still photography. When he’s not in the surf, Russell turns his lens to portrait and wedding photography, as well.

With a career that has him travelling all over the world, the real passion in Russell’s life keeps him climbing out of the surf and back onto dry land. Wife Catherine maintains the normalcy of family life for Russell and their three children, making “the trip home” the best one of all.
